Dairyglen’s Challenge
In order for Dairyglen to continue to provide their clients with award winning product and services, the management team recognised the critical need to enhance their IT infrastructure to ensure that all staff have fast, reliable and secure access to their systems round the clock.
VBT’s Solution
Dairyglen engaged with VBT to design and deploy a robust IT system, with a focus on reliability, performance, accessibility and cyber security.In order to meet our clients requirements, vbt deployed an on-premise HP server with multiple failover features and Microsoft’s latest release of Windows Server. Using Microsoft’s Hyper-V virtualisation technology several virtual servers were created in order to provide dedicated resources to each. Using Microsoft’s remote desktop services technology, fast and secure remote access was setup for users which needed access to Dairyglens systems while on the road. In order to protect against cyber-attacks like phishing, Man-in-the-middle, Ransomware, as well as most other forms of cyber-attacks, vbt deployed multi-factor authentication, conditional access, mobile device management, web applications Control, Geo-IP blocking as well as a whole host of other security services across Dairyglens network and endpoint.A robust backup solution was implemented to ensure the on-premise and offsite backups are taken multiple times daily, encrypted and retained under a GFS scheme that the organisation required. Dairyglen also required a software application to link their existing ERP solution with EDI. VBT delivered the solution in time and budget which has now completely streamlined their processes with their bigger clients.
